The Jordanian-American Military Fitness Challenge Begins

Amman – On July 30, the United States Embassy launched the Jordanian-American Military Fitness Challenge, an online workout competition for the Jordanian public.  Any Jordanian citizen aged 18 or older is eligible to participate and complete a set of exercises (squats, pushups, siteups, and burpees) for time, much like a Crossfit workout of the day.  The competition is not between U.S. and Jordan militaries, but a challenge to civilians to follow our two militaries’ model of physical fitness.

In order to participate, individuals should film a video of themselves doing the workout and submit the link on the U.S. Embassy’s Facebook page.  The challenge is free, requires no equipment, and is open until August 30, 2017.   A prize of a laptop will be awarded to the top male and female competitors, while a tablet will be given to the individual who completes the workout the most times in a month.  All individuals who complete the workout will be put into a random drawing for an additional prize.  More information is available at the U.S. Embassy’s Facebook page.  https://www.facebook.com/jordan.usembassy/
