“Mr. Science” Brings Science to Life

The U.S. Embassy in Jordan and the Haya Cultural Center invite school-age kids and their families as science comes to life at Haya Cultural Center (Shmeisani) on Friday, April 10, from 3:00 p.m. –7:00 p.m.

The program will include science demonstrations and interactive shows.   Attendees will have an opportunity to explore the mobile science bus, watch a film in the planetarium, and visit other exciting science stations presented by Jordan’s Children’s Museum.

The U.S. Embassy in Jordan is excited to host Tim “Mr. Science” Perkins, a talented scientist and teacher, who believes that anyone can understand science, for this interactive event.

President Obama challenged the United States to harness the power of science in order to preserve our environment and to create the jobs of the future, and live longer, healthier lives.  The U.S. Embassy in Jordan would like to share this challenge with children at the Science Fair on Friday.  Science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) innovation is a key to increasing worldwide economic development and create innovative solutions to shared global challenges.
