The Embassy does not provide fingerprinting or background check services, however, we can point you in the right direction. You will need to go to the Forensic Labs of the Public Security Department (PSD), located at Prince Hashim Ben Al Hussein Street in Al-Yasmin neighborhood (GPS coordinates: 31°55’24.9″N, 35°53’20.0″E (31.923593, 35.888887)), next to the PSD’s Policewomen Department. Their phone number is +962 6 429 3150 or +962 6 429 3151, email address is labs.dept@psd.gov.jo. They will take your fingerprints there and certify the PSD-issued fingerprint card.
Upon completion, you will need to take the card to the the Ministry of Interior (MOI) Behind Regency Hotel, Ben Zaidoon Street, Building No. 9 (GPS coordinates: 31°58’44.0″N 35°54’24.4″E) (31.978766, 35.906718), and then to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) authentication offices. MFA’s headquarters are located on Airport Road (GPS coordinates: 31°55’23.3″N, 35°51’30.6″E (31.923144, 35.858499). An MFA official will verify the credentials of the Ministry of Interior , and add their own stamp and signature to the fingerprint card.
Finally, bring the fully executed fingerprint card to the Embassy and we will certify the signature of the Jordanian MFA official. Please note that you will need an appointment for a notarial service. You can then mail your completed and notarized fingerprint card to the U.S.
