The Consular Section provides services to U.S. Citizens by appointment only Sunday through Thursday between 08:00 a.m and 10:00 a.m. The Consular Section is closed on U.S. and Jordanian holidays. Due to the COVID-19 situation in Jordan, the U.S. Embassy’s Consular Section is only providing limited passport services at https://evisaforms.state.gov/Instructions/ACSSchedulingSystem.asp. To book an emergency U.S. passport appointment for immediate travel, please email Amman-ACS@state.gov. Please include information about the reasons for your planned travel and a copy of a purchased airline ticket.
Passport/Consular Report of Birth Abroad pick-up is currently Sundays and Wednesdays from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
In order to provide the most efficient and accurate service possible, all passport applicants at the U.S. Embassy in Amman are required to fill out their passport applications online at https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/requirements/forms.html. Please fill out the appropriate application using the FORM FILLERs, print the completed application with the barcode, and bring it to your appointment at the Embassy. Please note that the all applicants presenting hand-written applications will be asked to redo their applications, or schedule a new appointment.
